My main takeaway from my time in DC is the place is peaceful. There was barely any honking from cars. The pedestrian light allowed you a minute and sometimes more to cross the street (the most I’ve seen was 80 seconds!). The streets were lined with small trees and bushes of flowers. People’s homes had castle-like roofs and bright pops of color that made going through the streets interesting. The architecture was breathtaking. Even though I was mainly in the city, there was a je ne sais quoi about the city that made it feel uniquely DC. Here are the last of my photos from my visit.
